Our mission is serving and building up welding employees and children through education and Christian ministry, creating opportunity for youth, both home and abroad. Our partnership with Tom and Teresa Stamman empowers disadvantaged youth in Honduras. Higher education is paramount to helping underprivileged children and their families out of poverty. Providing a safe-haven from gangs, cartels, and predators, who enter outlying (rural) locations and prey on the needy is a beautiful way to save children. The threats of rampant human trafficking cannot be overlooked in the USA and the world overall. Whether you are a business and want to employ, train, and qualify welders, or you are an individual who wants one-on-one training, education is a key to success. If you want quality improvement in welding applications, the first and most important variable is a worker trained in the process used, one who understands how to set-up welding equipment and how to make adjustments under changing circumstances. From elementary education to career education, City of Refuge, Honduras has a purpose in elevating the youth to support themselves, their families and their communities in Honduras. My ministry, serves disadvantaged youth, involves both discipling and providing generational change through supporting education. As President of the Welding College, I network with churches, businesses and colleges, both here at home and in Honduras, with goals to educate and certify disadvantaged youth and orphans, to American Welding Society Standards. IMI Welding College will provide secondary education for grades 10-12, train and certify students from City of Refuge and those of local school partners. Welder shortages exist here in the USA and in Honduras. Providing valuable welding skills can empower Honduran youth to support themselves and lift their families from poverty. This is a lifechanging opportunity to build them up in a Christ-centered environment, providing a safety-net that fills an existing void, and replaces dangerous alternatives.
